I began by stamping the sentiment and then smooshed some brown ink on the opposite side of the card front (color of black coffee) and then attached the tall, dark and cute giraffe. The giraffe was die cut, stamped and colored with Copics and attached with pop-ups.

I have had this House Mouse stamp for a long time and this is my first time using it.  The image was stamped on Neenah paper using Memento ink and colored with Copics.  I used snippets of SU! paper and the sentiment from MFT.

Spring Coffee Lover's Bloghop

Do we all save up coffee themed stamp sets? I have used several companies to make this card. There are more products I can use for future coffee cards. I began by stamping the cat and thought bubble (Newton's Nook), next the coffee cup (Paper Smooches) and then the logo (PTI).  The images were colored with Copics and then die cut (MFT).  I embossed the coffee bean folder (Sizzix) onto SU! paper.

CASology "DOODLE"

I began this card by stamping the crayon but decided I did not want to color, I wanted to doodle and that is what I did.  When waiting on the phone for a service person to help me I doodle and usually flowers and silly lines.  This is what I have done, drawing what came to mine or what picture was in front of me.  I like black and white cards so no color but I did select to take the photo on my work mat.  Guess this "doodle" card is a bit silly but then so is the cue word.  Will I send this card?  You bet my long-time friend of over fifty years will love it and probably recycle it to a friend.

Time Out Challenge #52 and CAS Mixup Card Challenge

Today I decided to enter one card in two challenges which I rarely do because I am not that confident on the ole computer.  Having said that I think this card will suffice for Time Out Challenge and CAS Mixup.  What I did first was rub distress ink on my mat and then picked up the color with an aqua painter. When the mister (husband) came into the room to talk I wasn't sure what image would appear when I applied the stamp to the water color paper.  It was okay but I then got out my distress ink markers and picked up ink with the aqua painter and added more color.  I chose to add some stenciling on the bottom with  distress ink and used the Misti to stamp the sentiment.  I attached my completed image onto a piece of SU confetti white.

CAS(E) this Sketch! #164

OMG Easter is almost here so I thought I would submit one card.  I made this card for my beginning card making group to introduce them to POP (paint chips, ombre and punches). The paper is plain white card stock, and then I punched five colors of  paint chips and attached them and popped the front two. Using my Copic multi-liner pen and a ruler I made lines around the card and left room for the simple sentiment.  That is it, pretty easy and the ladies loved it. This was not the only card I made using the chips and punches but this was the favorite, and they punched various shapes for over an hour.

NBUS Challenge #6

This is my third entry into Darnell's challenge. The background paper is watercolor paper, distress inks and droplets of water. I die cut the poppies (NBUS) and kept the pieces all together and then sponged color. The image was attached with glue onto the background paper and then a layer of green card stock, both pieces punched on corners. This was attached to the pink base card.

NBUS Challenge #6

Yesterday I taught "smooshing" to my beginning card making class (yikes) and this was one example I made.  Today I decided to finish the card and so I am submitting it to Darnell's challenge.  I used 140# watercolor paper and distress inks and the NBUS cactus stamp.  Today I trimmed the image and adhered it to black and tempting turquoise papers and stampd the sentiment.  The base card is NBUS SU! cucumber crush (cool color) which I embossed with my new NBUS embossing folder (I love it).  I touched up the cactus flower with a DI Picked Raspberry marker and a dab of water, Wink of Stella and an orange rhinestone.

Merry Monday #196 "Tropical" / NBUS #6 "Anything Goes"

I may be a hypocrite because I really don't like to make Christmas cards so early in the year BUT when this challenge came from Merry Monday I knew which stamp to use AND I could use it at NBUS #6. 

As usual I stamped on Neenah and colored with Copics. I die cut with a MFT die cut. SU! designer paper was used, and I think the green looks like waves, and attached to white card stock. Next I stamped the sentiment and then with mounting tape positioned Surfin' Santa.

I have had this stamp for some time and the company is no longer in business. When I first began taking Copic classes the instructor used this stamp company which was a local firm in Orange County California. When the company closed their doors they had some great "deals" and a friend bought this stamp for me. I have a large collection of Our Craft Lounge stamps and like using them.

Stamping - Watercolor - Embossing - Die Cut

This is my entry for the first CAS Mix Up challenge. I chose a piece of background paper that I previously made using the embossing folder, ink and water technique. For the butterfly I used VersaMark and gold embossing powder and fussy cut. I die cut the background piece and adhered it to red card stock and attached to the base card.
