Merry Monday Christmas #227 HOLIDAY CHEER

The last Christmas card for the year and I made one more coffee mug image. The paper I used is double sided and I wish I had an entire package as one side is words and the other the pointsettia. The white side does have the words good cheer.  I began by die cutting the mug pieces and then the holly and assembled them. The white background piece was attached to red card stock. A strip of red card stock was die cut and then I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment. The cup was attached with mounting foam.

Merry Christmas one and all. Wherever your journey takes you, may it be safe.
God Bless, Barbara, Barb, Babs

The Flower Challenge: #3 Using an Older Stamp

I am submitting my first card to The Flower Challenge, not my last. Taking photos of flowers and coloring flowers are two of my favorite artsy hobbies. This card is CAS and uses an old flower stamp and a new sentiment stamp.
The paper I used is SU! Confetti White and I think it is obsolete, what I like about the paper is there are flecks of color throughout. I stamped and heat embossed the flower and then did the same with the sentiment. After trimming the piece I attached to a narrow black mat, and then attached the piece to a piece of black mounting foam. (I love doing this). Lastly I attached to the base card which is also a piece of confetti white.

Supplies:
Stamps - Technique Tuesday "Dreamy Daisy"
  Purple Onion Design (sentiment)
Paper - SU! confetti white, black

Merry Monday Christmas Challenge "Winter Fun"

This may be my last Christmas card for the year, but you never know. This card will be submitted to Merry Monday's challenge of Winter Fun.
I love the simplicity of Lawn Fawn's characters and this skating penguin is no exception. The card has six layers and a tiny image. I stamped, colored with Copics and die cut and began attaching to the various pieces of die cut designer paper. The penguin was mounted with foam. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment with VersaMark and white embossing powder onto a snippet of red.

Winter Coffee Lovers Bloghop - 2016

Really my final card for the 2016 Winter Coffee Lovers Bloghop. I needed another thank you card to take to a brunch today so I go up early and made this card. I used a piece of brusho/stenciled watercolor paper in my UFO box. You can see the image of leaves on the left and right side. I began by stamping the sentiment and heat embossing and then added some cups and embossed and then the remainder of the images. I trimmed this piece and then trimmed a piece of black mounting foam and then attached to black card stock. Because I needed white piece of cs for the center I stamped the tall skinny stamp.

2016 Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

This is my final card for this season's blog hop. The image is the same as my previous card, I made three, but this has different paper and I attached silver stars on the band. I began by stenciling the chevron lightly with SU! ink and then die cut with the scalloped die, and stamped the sentiment. A piece of kraft card stock was embossed and trimmed. I assembled the coffee cup and attached to mounting foam. I angled the pieces as I wanted the imprint to show on the embossed piece.

Winter Coffee Lovers Bloghop 2016

It seems near impossible to get caught up and clear the mess (below). Two sympathy cards and one Christmas card needed to be made and mailed today. But I still wanted to get another card made for the Coffee Lovers Bloghop.
This paper is a snippet and it is now all gone but I wanted to use it. I began by stamping a rather old stamp set from SU! onto three papers and then pieced together. The darker piece was stamped with the sentiment and I added some beans and some Wink of Stella. The designer piece was attached to white card stock and then the coffee cup was glued onto a piece of mounting foam. The placement of the cup was selected so that key words were visible and close to the beans on the paper.

2016 Winter Coffee Lovers Bloghop

I am guessing many of us look not only forward to this seasonal blog hop but throughout the months we collect coffee type stamps. This is my first entry for the winter blog hop and I of course will use this card for Christmas. The image is MFT "Cool Day" and the sentiment is from Purple Onion Designs.  I framed the bear with a die from the Stitched Rounded Rectangle Stax from MFT. The blue background paper was embossed (Cuttlebug Snowflakes) and because I used a paper with a white core I was able to sand the embossed image so that the snowflake appears white.
The bear was stamped and colored with Copics and I paper pieced his sweater and coffee mug. The falling snow is Viva Pearl Pen. The sentiment tag is from MFT Sentiment Strips.

Merry Monday Challenge #225 - Candy Cane

Another card for Merry Monday Christmas challenge and this has the subject of candy canes. The stamp set was given to me by a friend who chose not to use the set. Let me tell you this is a busy image and time-consuming. Of course I used copics and a touch of white Gelly Roll pen and a minor dab of Wink of Stella (candy cane). The die cut is from Sugar Pea Designs and the paper is Neenah, SU! and Recollections. This is the first time I mounted an entire image with a large piece of foam. The photo is not as clear as I would like.
