CASology: Week 114 FLUTTER

This image I selected for this week's Casology with the cue word of flutter. Yesterday I started the card but this morning when I began to finish it things did not come together so I began again. In the meantime one of the ladies from my card making group wrote an email stating her mother had just passed away so she could not attend our get together. I set about to make the card again and this time I still used a mat to apply the ink but I chose a softer shade of blue and instead of using distress ink I selected SU! because I would have matching card stock. Once the soft sky ink was dry I stamped and heat embossed the cage with black ink and then I applied Versa Mark and used white embossing powder for the dove. I am pleased and decided to do a sentiment inside rather than on the front of the card.

Stamps - My Favorite Thing (unknown title), Unity "May Hope Sustain You"
Paper - PTI white cardstock, SU! Soft Sky
Ink - Versafine and VersaMark
Other - Clear and White embossing powder, mounting tape

Inside:

The sentiment was also heat embossed as was the white dove.

Freshly Made Sketches #155

I like this current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches because I think there is a lot of variations you can try. Recently I purchased some new fall merchandise from SU and I think I can use this sketch. The image is from Purple Onion and I stamped it several times on different snippets of paper, fussy cut and then put it together. There are two pieces to this PTI die cut so I used both dies. The background designer paper were snippets that I attached to white cs. I stamped the sentiment from MFT and attached a little bling. Boy bling makes cards come to life, kinda like putting on lipstick. I attached a piece of SU ribbon and a piece of jute. That is it!

Stamp - Purple Onion, MFT " Miss You a Latte"
Paper - SU! Kraft, snippets
Die Cut - PTI Tag Sale #8
Other - Versafine, SU! ribbon, jute, bling

Merry Monday Christmas Challenge #127

I am submitting this card to Merry Monday Christmas Challenge #127. I love this image and once I finished the card the cute figues made me think of a German Christmas card . The image was stamped and colored with copics and then I die cut the design and die cut a piece of textured red cs. I used stickles on the coat and hat pom pom, a gelly roll pen on the wings and lantern, and liquid applique on the snow. I attached the image with mounting tape onto the red mat. The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed using white embossing powder. The image was attached to a piece of Kraft paper.

Stamps - Stampendous "Little Angels", Saavy Stamps, "Dashing Through the Snow"
Paper - Neenah, SU! Kraft, Snippet of red
Inks - Memento, Copic Markers, VersaFine
Die Cut - Lil Inkers "Stitched Rectangles"
Other - Diamond Stickles, Liquid Applique, Gelly Roll Silver, Gold, mounting tape, white embossing powder

ATCAS - Challenge #48 - "CUDDLY'

It was easy to find an image for ATCAS's challenge with the code word of cuddly. I selected this cute image from Lili of the Valley and colored it with copics and added some glossy accents to the hearts and flowers. This image as well as the base card were die cut with Lil Inkers stitched rectangle die. The colored image was matted with a piece of pink paper. The sentiment was stamped and trimmed.

Stamp - LOTV Sketch Pad #2 printed image, PTI Happy For You
Ink - Copic Markers, Memento
Die Cut - Lil Inkers Stitched Rectangle Die
Paper - Michael's white and pink cardstock
Other - Glossy Accents

CAS(E) this Sketch: Challenge #93

This card is being submitted to CAS(E) this Sketch but I will send it to the daughter of dear friends. Lisa is forty years old and battling cancer and I try to send her a card once a month. Today's note from her mom says she is not doing well so I will get this card mailed tomorrow.
I stamped the image and colored with Prismacolor pencils and it was nice to have the smoothness to play with, I also used a blender pen. After fussy cutting I attached the bird, using mounting tape, to a  strip with the sentiment. The base paper is SU! sahara sand and the embossed white cs is a folder from  Paper Studios. I attached some jute twine and a few pieces of crystal bling.

Stamp - Unity "Frosty Mornings...", Paper Smooches - "Chit Chat"
Paper - SU! Sahara Sand, Staples white cardstock
Embossing Folder - Paper Studio "Woodgrain"
Prismacolor pencils
Other - rhinestone bling, jute twine, mounting tape

CASology: Week 113 GRASS

Sometimes ideas for a card come easily and sometimes the card comes together quickly and then a smudge appears. This is attempt no. 2 for this card for CASology's theme of grass. The stamp is a very old SU! and I doubt I would part with it because it is strictly masculine and we always have a need for a masculine card.  After stamping on white neenah I colored with copics and put a small amount of wink of stella in the cloud area. The sentiment is also SU!. The image was mounted onto a second piece of white cs. Almost easy peasy.

Stamp - SU! Noble Deer, sentiment SU! set unknown
Ink - Memento, Copics
Paper - Neenah
Other - Wink of Stella, mounting tape

Merry Monday Challenge #126 "Sentiment"

Selecting a sentiment for the Merry Monday challenge was a little difficult until I remembered this stamp from a very old SU! set. I purchased the set on e-Bay several years ago and I am happy that I can finally use it. The tree image is a new set from Penny Black. To begin with I stamped the image with VersaMark onto white paper and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I colored the background with Distress Inks (tumbled glass, peacock feathers) and SU! Coastal Cabana. I stamped the sentiment onto black cs and mounted it onto the tree image. I chose the main cs of Coastal Cabana and tweaked a piece of black. The image was attached with mounting tape.

Stamps - Penny Black "Snow Dust," SU! "A Beautiful Season"
Paper - SU! Coastal Cabana, Black, The Paper Cut White Linen
Ink - VersaMark
Other - Recollections "Snow" embossing powder
