CAS Mix Up - April 2016

This past week I shared some of my many stencils with my intermediate card making group and we had so much fun.  Sometimes we get together informally on Sundays to play and chat.  A few weeks ago I brought in several Paper Smooches critters I had stamped and die cut and began coloring them but was at a loss how to finish a card.   I grabbed an assortment of twelve small stencils and brought them with me to the Sunday group and had fun stenciling using distress inks.  Several cutesy cards were started and then I finished them at home.  I love this little guy and the NBUS garage sale embossing folder I used.  A little bit of Wink of Stella was applied and a few flower sequins. So for the April challenge I have stamped, stenciled, die cut, colored with Copics  and dry embossed.

Stamp/Die Cut Set - Paper Smooches "Party Posse"
Sentiment Stamp - Paper Smooches "Cuteasaurus"
Embossing Folder - Sizzix (name unknown)
Stencil - Plaid (12 mini designs)
Ink - Copics, Memento, Distress Ink Shaded Lilac
Paper - SU! Lovely Lila, Neenah, Michael's white card stock
Other - Wink of Stella, sequins

Time Out Challenge #54, Seize the Birthday Floral Topping

The colors for this card came from the inspiration photo at Time Out Challenges. The armoire has many colors and I wanted to focus on purple and blue. The flowers were die cut from two NBUS die sets out of alcohol glossy paper found in my UFO box. The leaves were die cut from leftover sponged card stock. I used a third NBUS die for the rectangle shape and used watercolor paper that I had sponged a touch of ink and droplets of water. The birthday sentiment was stamped and then two pieces of metallic bling were added to the center of the flowers.

Die Cuts - Spellbinders "Urban Blooms," " Garden Blooms"
Sugar Pea Designs "Sweeten"
Stamp - Purple Onion (sentiment)
Paper - watercolor, 110# white card stock (Michaels)
UFO box alcohol inked paper and sponged paper
Ink - VersaFine, Distress Ink Wild Honey

t

I will also enter the card in the current Seize the Birthday.

TIME OUT Challenges "Inspired by Words"

For this Time Out challenge I used a previously stenciled piece of background paper. I stamped and heat embossed both the clock image and the sentiment. This piece was trimmed and attached to the base card. The sentiment is "Yesterday is but today's memory and tomorrow is today's dream." Khalil Gibran

Paper - Michael's 110# and 67# white card stock
Stencil - MIXables (MFT) "Gears"
Stamp Set - Unity "Tomorrow is today's dream"
Ink - Distress Inks, VersaFine

CASology: Week 191 WASHI TAPE

I truly love playing with washi tape and proudly have a nice collection. For this card for CASology I chose a previously die cut overlay. On the front of the card base I arranged pink washi tape. On the overlay I attached two colors of green washi and stamped the sentiment. The overlay was attached with mounting tape and lastly I attached a neat piece of bling.

Paper - The PaperCut (white scallop circle window), Michael's 110# white card stock
Other - Washi Tape and Stamp (unknown)
Bling - Prima Princess Crystals

Spring Coffee Lover's Bloghop

Do we all save up coffee themed stamp sets? I have used several companies to make this card. There are more products I can use for future coffee cards. I began by stamping the cat and thought bubble (Newton's Nook), next the coffee cup (Paper Smooches) and then the logo (PTI).  The images were colored with Copics and then die cut (MFT).  I embossed the coffee bean folder (Sizzix) onto SU! paper.

Stamps - Paper Smooches Cyber Cafe, PTI Latte Love, Newton's Nook Newton's Day Dream
Paper - Neenah, SU! Crumb Cake, Michael's designer paper
Ink - Copics, Memento
Embossing Folder - Sizzix Coffee Bean
Die Cut - MFT Pierced Square
Other - Wink of Stella
