CAS(E) this sketch! #109

I made this card for CTS #109 and began by using a piece of leftover background paper I had made in a class I taught. I stamped and heat embossed the butterfly and then die cut. The left side of the front panel I attached SU! daffodil delight and designer paper. After attaching the butterfly with mounting tape I stamped the sentiment. I used a gelly roll pen on parts of the butterfly.

Paper - Staples white card stock, SU! Daffodil Delight cs,  DD dsp, snippet of background paper
Stamp and Die cut - MFT "Winged Beauties"
Other - Gelly roll pen, mounting tape, Versafine, embossing powder

CASology Cue Card: HOT Week 132

This card for CASology I used an old set from Our Craft Lounge, and all four stamps are from this set. I stamped the images and stamped off the steam, and then colored with copics.  I used Glossy Accents on the flowers. After trimming  the card stock I used a corner punch and then attached this piece to the base card using mounting tape.

Stamp Set - Our Craft Lounge "Tea Time"
Ink - Memento, Copics
Punch - EK Success
Paper - Neenah
Other - Glossy Accents, mounting tape

CAS(E(!) this sketch! #108

This card for CAS(E) this sketch! uses an older House Mouse stamp which I colored with copics. The sentiment was stamped and then I trimmed this piece and mounted it onto black cs. The music paper was photocopied and trimmed to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. I attached baker's twine to the image and then mounted with mounting tape.

Stamps - House Mouse "Beary Good Friends," sentiment unknown
Paper - sheet music, Neenah, SU! black
Ink - Memento, Copics
Other - twine, mounting tape

ATCAS: Hugs & Kisses

I chose this Penny Black stamps which is one of my favorites. The tag has little x's on it so I thought the sentiment of "hugs" was fitting. The image was stamped and colored with copics. Wink of Stella was used on the rose, tag and cheeks. I die cut the image with a circle die and then die cut the pink with a lacey circle die. I used a piece of organza ribbon and stamped the image and used a punch and added two pink crystals.

Stamp - Penny Black, "Looking at You", MFT "Occasion Sentiments"
Ink - Memento, Copics
Dies - Nestabilities Circles, Lacey Circles
Punch - SU!
Other - Wink of Stella, Prima Crystals (NBUS)
Paper - Lasting Impressions, Neenah

Seize the Birthday "Anything Goes"

I forgot to submit this card yesterday to STB when I also submitted it to CASology. Also I did not take a photo of my inspiration which came from a Crate and Barrel catalog. This advertisement for framed prints has been sitting on my desk for several months.

For this card I used an aqua painter and distress inks on a piece of water color paper and then die cut the feathers. I also die cut the frame using a textured piece of kraft paper, both from MFT. I glued the frame and both feathers onto a piece of white cardstock.

Paper - Canson Water Color, MFT kraft, white card stock
Inks - Distress: Tea Dye, Antique Linen, Frayed Burlap, Iced Spruce, Evergreen Bough and
Memento Rich Cocoa
Sentiment - PTI "Communique Curves Sentiments"
Dies - MFT "Feathers and Arrows," "Rectangle Frames"

Freshly Made Sketches #171

I made this card for Freshly Made Sketches.  The image was stamped and colored with copics and then die cut and then attached to a second piece of die cut paper. I chose three pieces of paper to make the fish tales. All pieces were attached to the base card. The image was mounted with mounting tape and I rounded the bottom corners. I stamped the sentiment inside the card.

Stamp - Penny Black "Found Love," SU! sentiment
Paper - Neenah, Lasting Impressions
Ink - Memento, Copics
Dies - Nestabilities: Circles, Lacey Circles

CASology - Birthday

I cut out an advertisement from a Crate & Barrel catalog and used it as my inspiration for this birthday card.
First I dabbed distress inks on my craft mat and used an aqua painter to apply ink randomly onto water color paper. I die cut the feathers and die cut the frame using a textured kraft paper. All three pieces were glued to the white base card. I stamped the sentiment with brown memento ink.

Paper - MFT textured kraft, Canson water color paper, white card stock
Ink - Distress: Iced Spruce, Evergreen Bough, Frayed Burlap, Antique Linen, Tea Dye
and Memento Rich Cocoa
Dies - MFT "Feathers and Arrows," "Rectangle Frames"
Stamp - PTI "Communique Curves Sentiments"
