CAS(E) this sketch! #129

I chose this old SU! stamp for Cas(e) this sketch! challenge. When I look out my craft/guest room window there is an old wash basin that houses a red mandevilla plant so it was my inspiration for this flower. Using stazon ink I stamped the image onto watercolor paper and used distress inks and an aqua brush. I masked the flower and then  sparingly flicked a little bit of green ink and then stamped the sentiment. This piece was attached to a piece of white cs and then a few red crystals were placed.

Stamps - SU! Spring Song (old), Paper Smooches (sentiment)
Ink - Stazon, Distress Ink
Paper -  Distress watercolor cs, Michael's white cs
Other - Copic liner, white Gelly Roll Pen, bling

Addicted to CAS: Code Word SPLASH

I love this duck image so I am using it for the current challenge at Addicted to CAS. The duck was stamped and heat embossed and colored with copics. I used distress ink and an aqua brush to paint the water. The sun was the negative image of a die and I sponged it with distress ink and applied wink of stella. The sentiment was stamped and then the entire focus piece was mounted onto the base card.

Stamps - Our Craft Lounge "The Pond," Purple Onion (sentiment)
Die - Lil Inkers Sun (negative piece)
Ink - Copics, Distress Ink( broken china, straw), VersaFine
Other - Wink of Stella

Stamplorations Challenge #35 SKETCH

Well I posted a card earlier for Stamplorations and decided to give a second challenge a try.  For this card I used a piece of stenciled paper I had made previously and cut in down in size and attached it to a mat. The bird was stamped and heat embossed twice. I stamped the splatter on one side of the base card and stamped and heat embossed the sentiment. The pieces were attached and for the bird I used mounting tape.

Stencil - ARTplorations Leaf Print
Stamps - MFT bird (unknown name), Precious Remembrance "Positive Thoughts"
Paper - Michael's white cs, SU! Old Olive
Ink - VersaFine, SU! Old Olive
Other - embossing powder, mounting tape, a single pearl bead for the eye

CAS Colours & Sketches - Challenge #130

The rose was stamped and colored with copics and attached to a piece of leftover embossed paper. Then I attached the ribbon and stamped the sentiment. The pink background paper is also leftover from a class I taught. All the pieces were assembled and the rose was attached with mounting tape.

Stamps - Paper Smooches "Flap Happy" (sentiment), PS Primrose
Paper - Michael's white cs, snippet of leftover handmade background paper
Embossing Folder - Cuttlebug Dots - Small
Other - Copics, ribbon (Michael's)

STAMPlorations June 2015 Challenge: Stamps & Washi

Our dear friend Darnell suggested I submit this card for the current STAMPlorations challenge so that is what I am doing. First I sponged yellow and orange distress ink onto paper and then stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with white powder and fussy cut the image. The next layer I stamped part of a grid stamp with orange and then attached two pieces of washi tape on the side, adhered a die cut leaf and stamped the sentiment and added to a base card. Lastly I attached the flower with mounting tape and a touch of bling.

Stamps - MFT (grid), Stampendous (flower), SU! Sassy Salutations
Ink - VersaMark, Distress Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, VersaFine Black Onyx
Die - MFT "Leafy Flourishes"
Paper - white card stock (Michael's), snippet of green, orange crystals

Seize the Toppings: Nothing But Neutrals!

These two stamps remind me of my youngest son Matt, my husband does not agree, but Matt wears glasses and has a mustache (and goatee). These images along with the sentiment were stamped on SU! smokey slate card stock with versamark ink. The frame die was cut using a snippet of paper and the stripped paper is from Lasting Impressions.  The frame image was attached with mounting tape.

Stamps - Michael's (glasses, mustache), Paper Smooches (sentiment)
Paper - SU!, Lasting Impressions, snippet
Die - Paper Smooches Frame
Other - VersaFine, mounting frame

Freshly Made Sketches 192

This card for Freshly Made Sketches uses a flower stamp  that I have had fun using. I sponged distress ink onto white cs and then stamped the flower with VersaMark and  embossed using white embossing powder and then fussy cut. On a separate piece of white cs I stamped the grid with spiced marmelade. Next I attached washi tape onto both sides of this paper and then attached the leaf die cut and stamped the sentiment. This piece was mounted onto a base card and then I mounted the flower.  Lastly I added three pieces of orange bling.

Stamps - MFT (grid), Stampendous (flower), SU! Sassy Salutations
Ink - VersaMark, Distress Spiced Marmade, VersaFine Onyx Black
Die - MFT "Leafy Florishes"
Other - washi tape, embossing powder, white cardstock (Michael's)
