Card for Lucita and Seize the Birthday

Wow I have not posted a card for over a month. After I got all my Christmas "things" finished I decided to take a break from anything Christmas. The holiday was lovely however my children gave me a cold and I have been suffering for two weeks.
A card making friend sent me the below info about a young girl from Honduras who is fighting the cancer fight. I decided to submit this card for Lucita also to Seize the Birthday in hopes that the info may circulate.
The image is Penny Black and it was colored with Copics. I die cut with a MFT stitched die and then mounted onto pink SU! paper and then green card stock.

Stamps - Penny Black "Mimi in Paris"
Die Cut - MFT Pierced Square
Ink - Copics, VersaFine, GellyRoll white pen, Copic Multiliner
Paper - Lasting Impressions (green), SU! (pink), Neenah

CASology: Week 174 OWL

I began by die cutting, then stamping and then coloring the owl. Next I die cut the branch, and then the circle (an embossed piece of tan card stock). The word bubble was placed before the image was attached. The Paper Smooches images are good to give to children and that is where this card will be directed. It was nice to make a non-holiday card.

Stamp/Die - Paper Smooches "Chubby Chums"
Die Cuts - Nestabilities "Circles", MFT "Branch with Leaves"
Paper - Neenah, MFT (tan), snippet
Embossing Folder - Paper Studio "Woodgrain"
Stamps - Inkadinkado (bubble), PS (sentiment)
Other - Copics, Memento

25 Days of Christmas Tags - Day 24

Day 24 of Tracey's Christmas tags. Natasha's tag used kraft paper and had a tree so that is what I did. The reindeer is NBUS which I just purchased at Paper Source and the tree is from Purple Onion. Both images were fussy cut and attached to the tag. I used glossy accents as snow and added a simple sentiment. The tag was cut using a SU! punch and I attached the gingham ribbon and red jute.

Paper - Kraft, white card stock
Stamps - Purple Onion (tree and sentiment), Paper Source (reindeer)
Ink - Memento, Copics
Other - Glossy Accents, ribbon, jute, SU! tag punch

MERRY MONDAY # 181 - Blue, White & Texture

This may be my favorite Christmas card for the year. On watercolor paper I smooshed distress ink and sprinkled on water. When the paper was dry I stamped the tree with VersaMark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. This piece was matted onto blue card stock. I die cut the words in blue cs, and dry embossed the tree folder and all components were assembled.

Paper - SU! Whisper White, Not Quite Navy, water color
Stamp - PTI "Through the Trees"
Embossing Folder - Paper Studio "Woodgrain"
Die Cut - Paper Smooches "Christmas Words"
Distress Ink - Faded Jeans, Chipped Saphire, Pine Needle, Rusty Hinge
Other - VersaMark, White Embossing Powder

This is a second card I made using different colors.

Thanksgiving Blessings to all.

I made the mini tag and assembled all the pieces and lastly added white gellyroll dots (snowflakes) and then added stickles.

Ink - Copics, Memento, Gellyroll Pen, Stickles "Stardust"
Die Cut - MFT "Tag You're It"

CASology: Week 173 PRETTY

I am entering this card because I really love it and think it is so CAS and pretty. The wooden stamp looks like a poor orphan and ready for a makeover. Recently a dear friend gave me a box of lovingly used stamps to share with my card making group. Some of the stamps I played with first and this little orphan who has no name became the Sleeping Beauty. Using SU! markers I colored the stamp and used a small spritz of water and applied to the paper and I was pleasantly surprised. I then used a negative piece of a die cut snippet and inked some clouds and lastly added a little bit of liquid applique for snowflakes. This could have been a one layer card but I matted it in blue cs and a green base card. A small sentiment was all that was needed, like a touch of lipstick.

Stamp - The Artist Stamps, Burbank, CA (this is bordering on antique)
Ink - SU! Markers and Bashful Blue
Paper - Neenah, SU! Bashful Blue, Lasting Impressions dsp (green)
