25 Days of Christmas Tags - Day 20

I finally mailed by charity Christmas cards and now I can focus on cards and tags for myself. This tag  was inspired by one of Kimberly W's penguin tags.  I chose to add a strip at the bottom and this silver metallic piece, as well as the punched snowflake, is mini Wall Border paper which I read about in a magazine last year, and I found it at Walmart. The image was stamped and colored with Copics, a dab of glossy accents on the cap, and die cut. I cut two pieces for the tag, white and a piece of dsp.

Stamp - Darice "Wintery Wish"
Die Cut - MFT "Stitched Square"
Paper - Neenah, Paper Studio Christmas Designer Paper (Hobby Lobby), Pressed Petals "Silver Glitter Border"
Other - Copics, Memento, Glossy Accents, Silver Thread, Baker's Twine

TIME OUT Challenge #44

This is my first time submitting to Time Out and this challenge is caseing Karen Dunbrook.
Karen's cards are always an inspiration to me and I have learned many techniques that she so graciously explains. For this card I stenciled a Christmas tree but that is not how I am using it.  The stamped sentiment says "try something new" and that is what I am doing using the tree just as a shape. I did not want a Christmas card, just a stenciled shape with a bold sentiment.  I used two colors of distress ink and Versafine and trimmed the focus piece and attached to the base card.

Stencil - Artplorations "Christmas Trees"
Distress Ink - Peeled Paint, Crushed Olive and VersaFine
Stamp - Unity "enjoy, explore, believe"
Paper - Michael's white card stock

Case this Sketch #149

To begin with I placed a mask onto watercolor paper and then die cut the leaf onto a piece of foam.  The foam was then lightly attached and then I sponged two colors of distress ink. On a piece of leftover watercolor I heavily sponged the darker shade of blue. When the snippet of paper was dry I die cut it. I did line work around the oval and stamped the sentiment and attached this piece onto blue cardstock.  The black foam piece was attached permanently onto the paper and then the blue leaf was attached.

Die Cut - Paper Smooches "Foliage 1"
Stamp - Avery Elle "oh happy day"
Ink - Distress: Broken China, Tumbled Glass, VersaFine, Copic Multi Liner pen
Paper - Artist's Loft 90# (Michaels), SU! Tempting Turquoise
Other - foam sheet (Michael's)

Merry Monday Christmas Challenge #179: Pink, Green and White

I am on a "tag kick" or so it seems.  Actually I am trying to get Christmas cards completed and the tag look is popular so I am playing, and having fun.  A couple of weeks ago I went online to look up the name of a tiny stamp I had purchased from Unity and it cost be about $30. Sucker!  So this stamp is one of my newest acquisitions.  The image was stamped and colored with Copics, a white GellyRoll pen, At You Spica markers and Wink of Stella.. The piece was attached to an embossed green paper and the two pieces are from a two piece tag set from PTI.  I die cut a fishtail tag and added the sentiment and a pink bow and the focus piece was mounted onto a piece of white cs and a piece of dsp.

Stamps - Unity "Elf Christmas"
Die Cuts - PTI Tag #8, Lil Inker (sentiment tag)
Ink - Memento, Copics, GellyRoll, At You Spica, Wink of Stella
Ribbon - SU! Rose Red
Paper - Michael's (white and green), Neenah, Heidi Grace dsp
Embossing Folder - Cuttlebug "Argyle"

CASology Week 172: GIVE

I just received this stamp from Unity and it fit the cue word at CASology which is give.  After stamping and coloring I shaped the image into a tag and added washi tape at the top and then punched and added ribbon and red jute.

Stamp - Unity "Christmas Teddy"
Paper - Neenah
Ink - Memento, Copics
Other - washi tape, ribbon, jute

25 Days of Christmas Tags - Day 9

This is my first entry in the 25 Days of Christmas Tags.
In searching my UFO box I came upon several pieces that were previously die cut and looking at Lisa Arana's tag I decided on this round shape.  I used products from SU!, Paper Smooches, Lil Inkers, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Purple Onion and MFT (I think that is all).  The DSP is SU! and so is the ribbon.

Seize the Birthday: "Anything Goes"

For this card I demonstrated smooshing to my card making group. After the paper had dried we used leaf die cuts and also leaf stamps. This card is an example I made for the class. I used a background stamp and then attached stamped and fussy cut leaves, and then added the sentiment. The piece was attached to a second piece of confetti cream card stock.

Stamps - Memory Box (background stamp), SU! (leaf), Stampabilities (sentiment)
Ink - VersaFine, SU! Pumpkin Pie, Really Rust, Garden Green, More Mustard
Paper - SU! Confetti Cream
