CASology Week 55 - Camp

 

 

The stamp for this challenge is Our Craft Lounge's Bear-ly Fishin.'  The components to the stamp set were all individual so I had to arrange them and there were a total of four pieces.  The image was colored with Copics and then I got to use my new die cut set from Lil' Inker Designs.  I waited all week for the order to arrive so I could use it on potential entrants into challenges.  The background paper was embossed with Cuttlebug's Traffic Jam.

One Layer Wednesday #150 - Life's A Beach

 

 

 

This is my first card for One Layer Wednesday.  I marked the image with SU! writers, spritzed with water and stamped onto white Kelly paper.  Easy-peasy, so easy in fact I made several more and they "sucked."  The saying goes if it ain't broken don't fix it.

ATCAS #18 -"Glitter"

The frog was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black on Neenah paper and colored with copics.  The flowers were highlighted with Stickles (yellow, orange peel) and spots on froggy's body were accentuated with white pigment ink.  The verbiage was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and heat embossed.  I then matted the stamped image on SU! wild wasabi and then I used mounting tape.

Note: The reason I make cards aside from my love of the craft, is to share with family/friends and unknown people in need of being remembered.  This card will be sent to someone who is "fighting the fight" and has been for some time.  Her daughter (my daughter in law/love) says all the cards I have mailed her mother are on permanent display - and that is what sharing what I love to do is all about.  And despite comments from some people that I should be selling my cards and making money that is not what it is about for me.  I like making one card at a time and not mass producing and even if I stamp an image more than once no two cards are ever alike.  So these are random thoughts from an older chick who wishes she could conquer the challenge of "posting" as easily as she can make a card.

MUSE - Challenge #27

 

This card created for MUSE shows the same layout, the flowers are both different in shape and number and I used similar colors.  The flowers, foliage and verbiage were stamped onto SU! confetti white paper and heat embossed and the larger flowers colored with SU! writers.  Then I stamped two additional smaller flowers colored them and fussy cut both.  The lower of the small flower was attached with glue and I used pop-ups on the upper small flower.  Lastly I rounded the one corner and attached pearls.

CASology - Week 54 "GOLD"

 

 

Happy one year anniversary CASology. 

 



The bee image was stamped and heat embossed on watercolor paper.  The coloring was done with SU! writers, an aqua painter and a blender pen.  Next I used a Versamark pad and SU! Gold Glory embossing powder for the crown.  Viva Inka Gold (gold) was added to the bees.  The verbiage was inked and heat embossed.  Lastly I lightly damped the Inka Gold and dabbed the ink on my finger and ran it around the edge of the w.c. paper.

CASology Week 53 - COOL

 

 

 

When so many locations are struggling with intense heat what could be more "cool" than a trip to the beach.  Despite the fact that we live about 4 miles from the beach and have lived in our home for two years I have yet to put my toes in the ocean or stepped onto the sand.  But every time we drive down the hill to our community I get a glimpse of the Pacific Ocean and each time I relish in the view.

 

The image was stamped and heat embossed on water color paper and colored with Twinkling H2O's.  I matted the image onto SU! coastal cabana cardstock, attached some pop-ups and then placed on SU! naturals white.  The verbiage was heat embossed, and the lower corners of the card were rounded.

Less is More - One Layer Challenge

The challenge for this week is one layer and not a square or rectangular shape.  This card design originally came from Splitcoaststampers and I modified it to be one layer.  The neck and leg were cut with a 1 3/8" punch.  The image was stamped and heat embossed, and colored with SU! writers.  The crotch snaps were colored in black and then highlighted with white pigment ink pen.  The image is MFT.
Note:  This card was not submitted in time.  I have been having trouble submitting my cards and I am working on using a PC rather than the Mac.  Since I have spent lots of hours re-learning how to submit my cards I decided to post this card.
